Pets

Assalamualaikum... In this entry I would like to introduce my pets . I have never had a pet before in my twenty-four years of life ! I do not count fishes as mine because only my parents are interested in fishes nor grasshoppers that I used to catch during primary school. Rabbits and cats are always my favorite animals that I would like to keep as a pet but my mother has asthma and she does not like any furry pets to be kept at home.

So here I am going to tell you about my RED EARED SLIDER TURTLES or RES for short. I wanted a tortoise but tortoises are wayyyyy more expensive than turtles. I bought these turtles for only RM 8 each at the nearest pet store.. I have looked up online the price of Tortoises can reach hundreds which I would not afford that! So yeah turtles are cute too why not ? So I got myself three little turtles . One male and two females in gender.

Even though RES are cheap in price but it is going to cost a lot if you want to provide a semi-aquatic habitat for them. I don't setup a tank yet for them ( bad mama) but doing anything the in the cheapest way possible. Like instead of getting a uvb light , I let them out under the sunlight once in a while  for 15 minutes or so. I'm planning to set up a tank sooner or later. For now , I've been referring to these two blogs red-eared-sliders.com and kamekroten . The way they handle their turtles are quite different than other people.

So here they are.....

JOFFREY

ALEX

PIPER

I've had them for a week now and they are still scared of me. Well it's okay maybe after a month they will get used to me and probably love me? :D I put them in a sleeping box (shoe box) every night to let them bask and sleep at the same time , feed them in the feeding container and let them swim in a bigger container during the day.

This is where they swim and bask... It's the widest basin we have at home.

Watch this VIDEO to see them swimming and dancing ! LOL

Joffrey didn't even try to escape during their first day out..

Piper trying to climb out to bask on the rock !

Piper and Joffrey decided to let me take a picture of them

Joffrey trying to hide from me but didn't really.. lol

"almost there ! Gosh I'm so tired... "

Wonder what he's thinking about...

Piper and Alex sleeping..

Alex sleeps a lot. She is sooo cute

Piper and Joffrey right after I put them in the box..
Escape mission?  Whilst Alex is already asleep under the covers.

Thursday, 10th September 2015 . Good morning babies :)

Here's a video I took during their feeding time !

I feed them turtle pellets and dried shrimps for now. I have tried papaya , blueberry , water spinach and green apples. Seems like they don't like fruits and vegetables. Maybe not yet. I heard they love bananas ! I might try that too yay.

Okay hope you like this post! If you have any idea or suggestions on turtle care especially in Malaysia please comment.
laterz... In shaa Allah.

The Loss

" Allah will not take something away from us unless He has provided something way much better or beneficial for us . Trust and believe in Allah's promises. " - Felinna Nadea Ed Fatah.

I was reading the quotes from the book "Hijrah Ini Yang Aku perlu" (This is the hijrah that I need)  and I found this on page 106 and it struck me right away. How come I did not realize this is the reason why Allah took something away from me? The more I ask for it to stay , the more it turns away from me. I did ask signs from Allah , "If this is good for me , make it work . If this is bad for me , show me signs real quick. " Ahamdulillah ,  I did see the signs real quick but however it made me depressed because it does not work the way I expected it to be.

Well , in the beginning , this was all my fault. I did not expect less this time because I thought that is it! This is what I've been waiting for!!!  After what happened , I've realized that things happen for a reason. Maybe it is because of this reason quoted from Quran "But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not." 2:216.

In spite of what has happened , I really appreciate the good that came out of it . Well , anyway I'm not gonna discuss about the good things now. Maybe later? Back to the quote above, I've realized this is the main reason why it happened . It is surely because Allah has something better for me in the future. I must believe this and in Shaa Allah , I will not be disappointed. We don't always get what we want because sometimes what we want is somehow something that is probably more inferior than what Allah has provided for us because we deserve more maybe? Right?

Alhamdulillah , I have started to accept this with an open heart and it makes me feel fortunate to be tested this way. Alhamdulillah. I thank Allah a lot for keep teaching me lessons in life . I've learned from my mistakes and every time I make mistakes , Allah will always help me to rise again. He never abandoned me. He never did.

Happy Independence Day , Malaysia !

Happy 58th Independence Day  MALAYSIA

Thank you Allah for all the blessings on us. I do love this country even though sometimes I feel like I wanna get out of this place mainly because of the weather and the people here but it's not that bad though. Maybe I am just tired of the politics issues that are unsolved. Nevertheless , I hope eventually everything will be alright... So here is the picture of me from my trip to Sabah with the 'JALUR GEMILANG' !

Next... is just to share photos taken by me a year ago.
LOL

On 25th August 2014 , about a year ago me and my parents flew to Sabah together with eight other people from WI and it was a four days three nights trip. We have visited some famous places in Sabah. I would like to share a few pictures from the trip (this year?) !

8 ways of finding the right person to marry

Marriage is never an easy thing. We think of it as this amazing romantic bliss that we will somehow attain one day.
Sisters dream of marrying that amazing brother who has the character of the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), the Eemaan of Aboo Bakr, the courage of Hamzah, the wealth of ‘AbdiRahmaan bin ‘Awf but the fact still remains, everyone wants to marry that one truly amazing person and it is not much different for guys.
We wish to bump into a Hoor al-‘Een that has lost her way from Jannah. I mean why wouldn’t that ever happen? It won’t happen, because you are daydreaming bro that’s why.
Now wake up and listen to this short lesson in some important “Do’s and Dont’s” along with other useful information inshaaAllaah.

#8 AVOID FACEBOOK SPOUSES

And any other social network for that matter
Since we spend most of our time online these days, it is very easy to try to fulfil all our needs online, even the need of finding a soul mate. Now don’t get me wrong, there are marriages who actually do work out, and I am not by any means hating on brothers and sisters who made it work (whatever floats your boats akhis and ukthis, just keep it halaal), but let’s face it, the Internet is a very weird place.
Everyone always tries to seem holier than they really are, even a Kaafir could pretend to be Muslim scholar for all you know.  In the good old days people married other people who they actually knew, and life was much more smooth, in very broad terms.
But today you marry someone who comes across as religious online only to find out on your wedding night he isn’t really that strict on Salah, oh and did I mention he has tons of friends who just happen to be girls? And not to mention he smokes (sorry forgot to tell you that too, my bad) the point is, be very careful concerning ANY online proposals.
If the person is serious and a good guy, drop them your wali’s number and don’t communicate with them anymore, then you’ll know if the person is really a gentleman or not.

#7 BEFRIEND GOOD PEOPLE

Looks more and more promising
This will open up the door for networking later on, because one of the main problems today is that a lot of people ask, ‘OK but how do I meet good potential spouses?’ and they often say ‘I don’t know anyone!’ but in reality everyone knows SOMEBODY.
Be it that friend who you only seem to meet at the masjid for big events, or your cousin who you don’t spend much time with, there is always someone you can befriend. But keep in mind that these individuals should be good practising people themselves because then they can help introduce you to other practising people who in turn might have brothers and sisters who are looking for marriage.
Trust me, it works. Try it for yourselves and see, but just don’t become that one sister (or brother) who ALWAYS talks about marriage and the opposite gender, because chances are you might get labelled as “thirsty” if not worse.
And if that fails, there is always facebook.

#6 BE AT GOOD PLACES

Do not confuse booty call material for wifey material
In the same way that you won’t find your amazing virgin niqabi wife at the club, dancing late into the night. You, yourself need to be looking in the right places, and this sort of brings us back to the previous point.
Attend lectures, study circles or maybe even volunteer to help at the masjid etc, all these activities will open up the door for you to meet the right people and once you get to know them you can raise the issue of marriage discreetly.
Remember most people who marry will tell you they got to know their spouse either through family and friends, or they might have actually met whilst doing the same activities, so try to be more active and don’t just sit at home feeling sorry for yourself. Oh and also stop going to the club.
DISCLAIMER: This website does not endorse any talking between the genders without the supervision of a Wali. Be a man and step up your game if you truly love her. Otherwise go to facebook.

#5 BE REALISTIC

Sometimes your knight in shining armour is just a miskeen dude in tin foil
Chances are, you’re not going to bump into Shaikh Sudais’s son, let alone the Shaikh himself, and even if you did, I highly doubt any of them would ask you for marriage (more like ‘SECURITY!’) So try to keep your hopes realistic, yes we all want to marry a Haafidh, we all want a sister who knows all about pleasing a husband but never had a boyfriend before. We all want a brother who is super pious with super long beard (the longer the beard the bigger the Taqwa right?) who also owns a house and has a car, plus he should be really knowledgeable too, like bin baaz knowledgeable, preferably not blind though, oh and a six pack wouldn’t harm either.
But we often forget, that when you marry someone, they still have their whole life ahead of them. Most of the wives of the major scholars married these amazing men whilst they still were ‘nobodies’ and similarly you teach your wife (with gentleness) how to be romantic and it is all a journey. If you think that you will marry that one complete person who has everything, you will never marry and that’s the harsh truth.
You will end up on facebook surfing from one profile to the other.

#4 INVOLVE YOUR PARENTS

I mean at least this brother has his own house, so that’s always a plus right?
Most people don’t like doing this, for whatever reason. Most girls are just simply too shy to bring marriages up to their parents, in case the parents look at them as “horny” or a victim of teenage hormones. Others are afraid that if they involve the parents they will feel pressured into marrying someone they don’t want to marry, only to please their parents.
You remember that one time your friend mentioned to HER parents that she wanted to get married? And for her parents to help her look for a decent brother? And how they totally misunderstood her and now you heard that your friend moved back to Bangladesh and has 7 kids at the age of 21? Yeah that’s totally not going to happen to you.
Now what I am suggesting is a middle path. Bring the topic up to your parents, or if you’re too shy, speak to your brother or someone else who can raise the issue with your parents. And then ask your parents to look around for you, remember they can only suggest but the final decision still lies with you. And most of us really don’t make use of this option, which is very sad.
Our parents are the only human beings alive on the face of this earth who would do anything and everything for us, so why not consult them?

#3 ARE YOU REALLY READY FOR MARRIAGE?

Believe it or not brothers, marriage is more than just mating and lying in bed. Shocking I know!
I don’t mean to scare you away by raising this question, as Muslims we should always aim to get married since it is the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet.
But sometimes, some people rush into marriage. They think just because they are physically ready (have urges etc) that they should get married, forgetting that even the Prophet actually mentioned that those who have the MEANS to get married should do so. Now having the means is not just having a mature body, or even loads of cash. Rather it also about being mentally stable and able to cope with the hardships of marriage.
Don’t worry though, in marriage all you need is love to make things work (like they always say right?) so no need to over think things, love conquers all! Except that’s a total lie, marriage needs so much more, and even though love is a key element in marriage it is not always what keeps a marriage going.
Remember marriage is not all sunshine and fun, sometimes you will argue sometimes you wont love each other as much, what will happen then? Will you ask for a divorce just because the marriage isn’t fun anymore?
What if there are children involved, then what? The point is, prepare yourself for marriage mentally. Read up on the rights of the Husband and the rights of the Wife, don’t just marry because you’re 20 and feel you have to. This husband will be either your Jannah or Hell, do you really know what that means?
Similarly this wife and future children will be your responsibility as a husband, Allaah will ask you about them and everything they do, so be prepared.

#2 WOULD YOU MARRY YOURSELF?

Because that is how I roll
‘Ofcourse I would, I am pure awesomeness, I am the very defin…’ if that is your answer then I can tell you right now that you don’t really have the right mentality for marriage. We often get blinded by the search for the ultimate partner that we neglect to look at ourselves.
We cry and say why won’t anyone marry me? But do nothing to change ourselves. How do you treat people when you get upset? What do you do if you hold a grudge? Do not turn a blind eye to all these important issues, rather tackle them one by one. No one is perfect but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be trying.
If you truly and sincerely work on your own flaws, and really do become more caring and loving then you will notice how people will look at you differently. People will start to think of you as ‘wifey’ material because you are good with kids, because you care for others, because you forgive people and don’t hold grudges don’t gossip etc the list is long but if you take one step at a time you will be married before you know it.
Well you would know of it, ’cause I mean you couldn’t get married without knowing about it, right? So technically you would know about it, but yeah whatever.

#1 DU’AA

Dua is the weapon of the believer, why not use it?
Because like anything in life, Allaah is the true reason behind things. Even though some people often roll their eyes and think ‘Yeah right the old, make dua brother/sister’ but if you truly have faith in Allaah and know that He answers the prayers of those in need, you will never get tired of making du’aa to Him.
Take the story of Muusa alyhi salaam as an example, in Soorah Qasas we are told about how he left Fir’awn and was literally fleeing for his life, his one concern was saving his own skin. But what happened? He made du’aa to Allaah, and Allaah not only saved him but blessed him with a wonderful wife. So in short, if you make du’aa and don’t give up Allaah will help you, and that is a promise!

Matters Which Nullify Ones Islaam by Shaykh 'Abdul-'Azeez Ibn Baaz

All praise is due to Allaah alone; may He exalt the mention of Prophet Muhammad, his family and all his companions.
Dear Muslim! Know that Allaah obligated all His slaves to enter Islaam completely by adhering firmly to its legislation and to shun anything that contradicts it. Allaah sent Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam to call people to Islaam and propagate this mission. He informed us that whoever follows Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam will be guided, and whoever shuns his call will stray and be misguided.
In many verses of the Quran, Allaah warns us against things that lead to apostasy, as well as all types of Shirk
(associating partners with Allaah in worship) and Kufr (disbelief).  In the chapters of apostasy which are found in the books of Islamic creed, the scholars have mentioned many matters which nullify a persons’ Islaam and render one an apostate; the most dangerous and common of which are ten, which are mentioned below and which have brief explanations so that people may be aware of these matters and avoid them.
First:
Shirk in worship: Allaah says what means: “Verily, Allaah forgives not (the sin of) setting up partners (in worship) with Him, but He forgives whom He wills, sins other than that,” (An-Nisaa’: 116) and also “Verily, whosoever sets up partners (in worship) with Allaah, then Allaah has forbidden Paradise to him, and the Fire will be his abode.
And for the wrongdoers there are no helpers” (Al-Maa’idah: 72).  These are matters such as calling upon the dead, seeking their support and slaughtering animals for them or in their name, such as those who slaughter for Jinn or at people’s graves.
Second:
Making intermediaries between a person and Allaah, whom people ask to intercede on their behalf with Allaah. This includes supplicating to such ‘intermediaries’ and putting ones trust in them. Whoever does any of these has become a disbeliever by the consensus of the Muslim scholars.
Third:
Not considering those who associate partners with Allaah in worship as disbelievers, doubting their disbelief, or considering their faith as correct.
Fourth:
Believing that there is guidance which is better or more suitable than the guidance with which the Prophet sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam came with; or believing that any other legislation is superior to his, such as those who favour manmade legislation over Islamic legislation and use these manmade legislations to rule with. This also includes believing that man-made legislation is better than Islaam, or that they are equivalent, or that one may use them as a basis for ruling, or that Islamic legislation is not suitable for the twenty-first century, or believing that Islamic legislation is the reason behind the weakness and backwardness of the Muslims or limiting Islamic legislation to only govern the relationship between the slave and his Lord and not his other worldly affairs.  Moreover, this category includes those who consider that some Islamic penal-laws are unsuitable for our time, such as cutting the hands of thieves or stoning adulterers. Likewise, believing that one can refer to man-made legislation for commercial or business transactions renders one a disbeliever, because such a person by conviction deems lawful what Allaah has ruled as unlawful. An example of this is those people who set rules for those who consume intoxicants or commit fornication or adultery.
Fifth:
Hating anything which the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam commanded even if one performs it, Allaah says what means: “That is because they hate that which Allaah has sent down (Qur’aan)” (Muhammad: 9).
Sixth:
Joking at or making fun of any part of Islaam, its rewards or its punishments, Allaah says what means: “Say: Was it at Allaah and His Ayaat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and His Messenger that you were mocking. Make no excuse; you disbelieved after you had believed” (At-Tawbah: 65-66).
Seventh:
Practising magic, Allaah says what means: “but neither of these two taught anyone (such things) till they had said, We are for trial, so disbelieve not (by learning this magic from us)” (Al-Baqarah: 102).
Eighth:
Supporting the disbelievers against the believers, Allaah says what means: “And if any amongst you takes them (as supporters), then surely, he is one of them. Verily, Allaah guides not those people who are the Thaalimoon
(polytheists and wrongdoers and unjust)” (Al-Maa’idah: 51).
Ninth:
Believing that people are free to abandon the Islamic legislation which was brought to us by Muhammad sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam, Allaah says what means: “And whoever seeks a religion other than Islaam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers” (Aal ‘Imraan: 85).
Tenth:
Shunning the religion of Allaah by refusing to learn or practice it, Allaah says what means: “Who does more wrong than he who is reminded of the Ayaat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of his Lord, then turns aside therefrom Verily, We shall exact retribution from the Mujrimoon (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners)” (As-Sajdah: 22).
There is no excuse for committing any of the above mentioned nullifications, regardless of whether one did it seriously, jokingly or fearfully unless one was forced to say or do any of them. A believer must be careful not to commit any of them, so as not to be deserving of the punishment of Allaah.
